Space Invader vol. 1-5 (Quadraphonic nightclub experience)
We deployed a quadraphonic sound system from the Museum block party, but this time inserting a performance system I have been developing into the chain. I tentatively call it the Dynamic Performer System (DPS), a bit tongue in cheek, since the Octatrack is also called DPS which stands for Dynamic Performance Sampler. In its third iteration, this system version 3.0 has been the platform for refining my approach to interface design regarding performance improvisation.
The event was at Union Tavern/Bow Market, one of the various AR outdoor gallery locations, which happens to be where my wife and I run our retail business, Crane & Turtle, a Japanese artisanal crafts & goods shop.

Space Invader at the Somerville Museum
Space Invader at the Somerville Museum is a group show I curated that ran from 6/3 - 7/9/2022. The show harnessed an immersive art approach to critique the American immigration experience. Each artist having various backgrounds and told stories of immigration or an outsider's perspective ("of an alien"); an alternative way to think about think about the system we live in. The show extended the conversations that came from our Space Invader nightclub experience, bringing various cultures together through spatial sound listening experience, and discussions of xenophobia and club culture.
